Projects
A project is a workspace — the unit that holds your team, your settings, your company details and your branding. You can belong to several projects and switch between them. From the projects list you open one and find its overview, which links to the pages where you edit its information, its company details, and its icon and logos.
Before you start — Anyone signed in can create a project. Editing a project's settings, company details or appearance requires being its owner.
Note — Every edit below opens in a panel that slides in from the right, over the list or overview you were on. The panel carries the action's title, a close (✕) button and a View full page link at the bottom. Closing it — with ✕, by clicking the greyed-out area beside it, or by pressing Esc — refreshes the page behind so it shows what you just saved. Use View full page when you'd rather work on the whole screen.
Create a project
- Open the projects list, then click Create a project if you have none yet, or New project if you already have one. Either opens the creation panel.
- On Create a new project, fill in:
- Project Name — you can change this at any time.
- Description of the activity — a one- or two-sentence description.
- Country — pick the country of the legal entity that operates the project. It also sets the project's Currency, which you can change afterwards on Company Information.
- Click Save.
The project is created and a confirmation is emailed to you. Close the panel and the list refreshes with your new project on it. From the dashboard, the Project activation section then guides you through giving it a name, a description and activating it.
Open a project's overview
The overview is the home page of a project — a summary of its identity, its company details, its appearance and its verification status.
- Open the projects list, then click your project's name.
- The overview shows four cards:
- Project — the project name and description, then Collaborator, Creation Date and Identifier. Edit the information at the bottom opens Project Information in a panel.
- Company — Company name, Address, Countries and Currency. Modify the information at the bottom opens Company Information in a panel.
- Appearance — the project icon, with an Edit button that opens Edit the icon in a panel.
- Verifications — whether the project has been verified, and when it was last checked.
Note — A tab strip runs above the cards: Overview is the page you're on, Team opens the project's members, and API Access opens its API keys.
Edit project information
The Project Information page covers the basic information shown on the overview — name and description.
- Open the project's overview, then click Edit the information on the Project card. A panel opens over the overview, headed with that same wording.
- On Project Information, change the Project name and Description (one or two sentences).
- Click Save.
Changes saved successfully. appears in the panel, above the fields. Close the panel and the Project card behind it shows the new name and description.
Fill in company details
The company pages collect the legal identity of the entity that operates the project, in two blocks: Company Information and Company Address.
- Open the project's overview, then click Modify the information on the Company card. A panel opens over the overview, headed with that same wording.
- On Company Information, fill in:
- Company Name — must match the name registered against your registration number.
- Registration Number.
- Legal Form and VAT Number (optional).
- Jurisdiction (Country of Registration).
- Currency — the currency your project's amounts are recorded in. It's already set when you get here: a project takes the currency of the Country you picked when you created it, and keeps it. Pick another one from the list if you need to. It never follows the country page you happen to be reading on, so a project created in the United States stays on dollars even when you browse the workspace from France.
- On Company Address, fill in:
- Address Line 1 and, optionally, Address Line 2.
- Postal Code, City and Country.
- Click Save.
Modifications saved successfully. appears in green under the Company Information heading, and both blocks keep what you entered.
Note — Each free-text field has a maximum length, and a value over it is refused rather than saved shortened. Company Name, Registration Number, Legal Form, VAT Number, Postal Code and City take up to 50 characters; Address Line 1 and Address Line 2 take up to 500. Over the limit nothing is saved at all, and a red line naming the field and its limit appears under the Company Information heading — for example Company Name: Please use at most 50 characters. It appears there even when the field is on Company Address. Shorten the value and click Save again.
Important — The Company Name must match the one registered against your Registration Number exactly.
Note — Changing Jurisdiction (Country of Registration) doesn't move your Currency: the currency belongs to the project, and the list above is the only place it changes. If your project's Currency was empty until now, it takes the currency of its jurisdiction — or, failing that, of the country it was created in — the first time a page shows an amount, and keeps it from then on.
Note — Some projects get one extra list on Company Address, between Address Line 2 and Postal Code, for the administrative subdivision — Emirate for the United Arab Emirates, Province for Canada, State for the United States. It starts on Not defined; open it and pick yours. The list appears only when the Country you chose when you created the project has subdivisions (52 do; France and the United Kingdom, for example, don't), and it is that country — not the Country of the address above — that decides it.
Note — These company and address details are your billing identity. When you check out to pay for the project, the payment page opens pre-filled with them, so you don't have to retype your name, address and country. Keeping them accurate means the checkout is one step shorter.
Customise the project icon
The Edit the icon page sets everything that represents your project visually: the two colours of the small icon built from its initials, and the two logo images used wherever a full logo fits.
- Open the project's overview, then click Edit on the Appearance card. The Edit panel opens over the overview.
- On Edit the icon, enter the Background color and the Text color. Each takes a hex value; the leading
#is printed for you, so type only the six characters. - Optionally choose a Left-aligned rectangular logo and a Square logo from the images already in your media library.
- Click Save.
The new icon is applied right away, visible everywhere the project name is shown.
Note — The two logo fields are pickers, not upload boxes: Select an image from the CDN list below. Click the field to open the list, or start typing to filter it. To add an image that isn't there yet, click Send a new image beside the list: the upload page opens in a panel of its own, wider than the others. Send your image, close that panel, and the pickers reload with it on the list.
Tip — The page prints the size each logo is used at — Recommended format: 936×192 px for the rectangular one and Recommended format: 512×512 px for the square one. Matching them keeps the logo sharp and stops it being cropped.
Check whether your project is verified
A verified project is one whose company details have been checked by the people who run the service. The Verifications card on the overview tells you where your project stands.
- Open the projects list, then click your project's name.
- On the overview, read the Verifications card:
- A green tick and Verified Project — the project has been checked.
- A red cross and Unverified Project — it has not.
- Read the line below the status: Last check: followed by the date of the
most recent check, or Last check: not defined if the project has never been checked.
Note — You can't start a verification from your workspace: only an administrator in the back office can mark a project verified, and the date is set when they do. If your project stays unverified, make sure its company details above are complete and accurate, then contact support.
